Unable to locate a meaningful, self contained and comprehensive emergency medical identification, ID Technology Inc. was founded in 1993 by professional engineers with the corporate mandate to create, develop and implement a new method of extreme high resolution image processing in metal. By creating a technology of this caliber, real world, in depth and meaningful life saving information would be available immediately, at the scene, to guide a medical respondent. The result of this research yielded a process that went well beyond that of engraving, both in absolute visibility and readability and without the use of chip susceptible paint. The first product to embrace this new technology was the ground breaking Iden-Tag 16 data line profile medical alert tag. The following year to further embrace this new found graphic breakthrough came the original Forevergraph custom photograph dog tag and then fun loving line of pet "Dog Gags - humor gone to the dogs" collar tags.

In 1996 the company introduced the MediBand™ watchband ID to address the needs of people with diabetes that wanted a less conspicuous form of emergency medical ID. This lightweight, and surprisingly durable medical alert attachment, has offered medical first respondent safeguard for those individuals who otherwise may not have worn this much needed information. The available library of medical conditions for this product has increased over the years to offer this unique form of protection to include a broader range of medical needs.

Because the principles of the company themselves have diabetes and know, only all to well, the ongoing expense of this disease, have chosen to try and keep their prices extremely affordable so as not to be an added burden to their clients.
